Just when I was starting to plan a retreat for next year, with visions for outdoor adventures, amazing food, idyllic locations and top tier accommodations, there was a knock in my inbox with an invite - to teach on a 7-day Hiking and Yoga Retreat in Chamonix, France! Well, here is a gift from the universe taking us all on a fabulous adventure together.
Join me, as the Yoga Teacher and energy support guide avec grand enthousiasme for this beautiful opportunity. I will be preparing six days of mountain air breathing, body loosening and strengthening, and deeply rejuvenating sessions to make for a seriously wholesome and nurturing experience.
Here’s what you can look forward to…!
‘Enjoy Vinyasa, Hatha and Yin yoga with the wonderful Anne Marie Gordon, go on beautiful mountain nature walks with our experienced guide, eat delicious gourmet vegetarian food and have plenty of free time to explore the Chamonix valley or relax in our luxury Alpine chalet.
During this retreat, students can expect steady and invigorating Vinyasa/Hatha style morning practices that include pranayama and meditation, and deeply nourishing Hatha/Yin styles for evening repair from the day’s activities. Option for a Yoga Nidra, extended Breathwork session, or Shamanic Drum Journey available as we create a week of restoration and inspiration together.
The classes will be suitable for all levels, including those new to yoga.
This retreat includes:

ACCOMMODATION
Our large and beautiful Alpine chalet is perfectly located in the Chamonix valley for easy access to areas of interest, beautiful hiking trails and boasts stunning views of Mont Blanc. The chalet is just as intimate and cosy as it is spectacular and luxurious, thanks to its clever design with several sumptuous social areas.
The chalet is a former mill and has been built and decorated by the most sought after artisans in the valley, so every aspect has been finished to perfection and careful attention. The lovely yoga space is in the heart of the chalet with floor to ceiling windows that let in plenty of light under the beautiful wooden roof beams. The chalet also has its own spa area with a sauna and treatment room for the on-site massages.
It is centrally located in the Chamonix valley in the quaint village of Les Tines, a short distance from Chamonix town, with breath-taking panoramic views of the French Alps from the hot tub, sun terraces and garden.
HEALTHY EATING
The quality of the food on our retreats is very important to us. You will enjoy healthy, nutritional meals carefully chosen by our excellent chef to complement the retreat perfectly. The gourmet food on our retreats is absolutely delicious and mostly vegan or vegetarian but you can opt for fish or meat when booking your retreat. We use organic and local produce where possible.’

This ceremony is a safe and supportive container for:

Are you feeling called to share in a special cup of Cacao with your community?
Do you hear the rhythm of the drum calling you back home?
Ingesting Cacao can be a simple daily ritual, or for transformative journeys. Anne Marie offers cacao in a mindful setting, aiming to honour the traditional ways in which Ix Cacao has been revered in South American cultures for thousands of years.
As we have been graced with access to this powerful healing plant medicine, it is right that we dedicate proper time and space to really listen to her wisdom, message, and let healing magic move through our body/mind.
In this ceremony, we we will open and close the space by inviting ancestral, animal, seasonal, and energetic spirits to support and protect us as we imbibe a ceremonial dose of cacao.
You will then be guided on a Shamanic journey accompanied by the sound of the beating drum. In this ceremony, we will connect with The Spirit of Mother Earth.
Anne Marie will use rhythm and vocals as a way to create a very special atmosphere for you to be deep within yourself and your personal journey.
Movement, dance, collective song, and sharing are all part of this experience.
*Please note that the drumming is continuous for many parts of the ceremony, so if you have sensitivity to sound, you may bring ear plugs in order to receive the vibrations physically.
**Likewise, drinking cacao is optional, and an alternative can be provided for you - please mention upon booking.
May we continue to celebrate with deep reverence and appreciation for receiving the gift of Mama Cacao from our ancestors and living relatives from the native lands from which she arrives.
